Sorry for posting this on more than one entry, but I'm not sure of what to do at this point.

I've had to contact the following people multiple times and they either have stopped responding to me or haven't responded at all (in addition, I have paid for the auctions, but I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to find the receipts; I did add additional dollars to some of them and I can't recall which). I'm rather aware that you, as moderators, probably can't do anything about the offering parties not making good on their end, but hopefully this will possibly mean they will be blacklisted from future auctions or something. Because I feel sort of rotten complaining about this to begin with, since it is for charity.

fusuke - offering link here
animation_bat - offering link here
sugareey - offering link here
kidsxheroes - offering link here

Totaling $66, which is a lot of money for items I have not received.

I'm so sorry to hear that! There's not much we mods can do besides message them, but we'd be happy to do that, if you'd like us to do so.

Did you post on the pinch hitter thread, or were you not yet aware that these had fallen through at that point? I hate the idea that you're out of luck because they aren't responding, but at this point things have been over (and the community closed) for long enough that organizing pinch hitters would really be very difficult.

Since each help auction is set up separately (different mods, I mean, and sometimes very little overlap from one to the next) it might be hard to enforce any kind of blacklisting, but I'll look into whether there's a centralized list of any kind. So much of these auctions relies on the honor system - it's wonderful when it works, but very disappointing when it doesn't.

Very sorry your help_japan experience went sour like this: thank you so much for your generosity in bidding.

I didn't post on it! Because it was artwork, I knew that giving them some space would probably be helpful. The only reason I'm even commenting now is because it's been about two months (or more) since any of them have been in contact with me and a friend encouraged me to.

Don't worry about pinch-hitters or anything like that. I'm fine. I just kind of am... in an awkward position where I don't know what to do other than mention this and then let it go.

Either way, thank you very much for getting back to me and I hope you have a lovely day. :)

(Oh, and btw, I am, in fact, the one who bid on sugareey's auction. I just am awkward and like to keep fandom stuff (buying, selling, bidding, whatever) separate from my personal journal.)

Hi guys! The totals are absolutely amazing!! *_* I come with unpleasant queries though.. is there someone I can give a name to? I've had a couple of unresponsive people since confirming my donations with them, but I'm not as bothered about that, to be honest - it's all for a good cause after all. But I helped one person out with some money for posting something to me way back at the end of the first round, and not only have the items not arrived, the user hasn't replied to any of my messages since. I just wanted to let someone know in case they try and take part again and do the same thing to someone else.
