Historians found a journal of his journey where he made short entries that never topped 140 words, so history studends are transferring the entries onto Twitter. I don't know how far it's gotten yet, or if it's even started. I just read about it in the paper a week or two ago.

I swore I would never use Twitter, but it does have it's uses...
Like it's good for getting news fed to you. I started following NORML and they sent out a story about Mexico legalizing minor drug possesion on Friday (no joke!) as soon as the story broke. Normally, I'd hear about that second hand a week after the fact.
But still, I have to admit that the vast majority of stuff that goes on on there is idiot users exchanging totally useless information. (Seriously, some people actually say shit like "Well, I'm going to go take a nap" -- who fucking cares!) So far I've managed to avoid that crap.
