One little, two little, three little traitors...

Sep 16, 2005 12:36

I returned home and much to my surprise, and not, I discovered Faith's little cage empty. Dusty fingerprints across the top of my small box that housed my drugs, and the lingering smell of cooked food in the house. I closed my eyes and ran my fingertip along the bridge of my nose before I sent my purse sailing across the room with an enraged scream ( Read more... )

It didn't take me long to get there, especially since I still had the one of many company cars at my disposal. Okay, so they would be at my disposal if I had more than one, but I just grabbed the vipor. What can I say? I liked that one the best. Nodding my head at the gaurdsmen, I almost missed his little smirk as I walked past him and into the elevator. For some reason, I kept on feeling that I was being followed, but everytime I turned around, I didn't notice anyone and I kept myself getting amped up because with Alyx it was always a fight. I knew I'd be leaving with bruises, but I could hold my own. But then again, with her being all high and mighty ... I didn't know what to expect now. I'm sure she got a boost with her new promotion ( ... )

I tipped back slightly in my chair waiting for him to arrive and he never was one to disappoint. Breezing into my office and calling me beautiful, telling me he was here to check up on me and how I was doing. I smirked and stood up and walked around him curiously taking in the false sense of security he carried with him everywhere. Such a wounded hero ( ... )

She got up and walked over to me with that look on her face and then when she said what she said, I just shook my head and then glanced down at her hands. Was about to grab her hand, but she moved it before I had the chance to. It wasn't about that, she knew it, she just liked to throw me off. Always. And honestly, I haven't thought about that night ... since now. It was a pretty good night too. But, it's not about that.

"Yeah, you're pretty much right," I said and still stood in the same spot that I have been since I walked in. "You got what you wanted, you got the power, it's all yours," I said and looked around her office, which happened to be better than mine when I had it. What a load. Not about that. Right.

"You have problems with me? You come to me, not to anyone else that I might be around. That is, if we ever have a problem. Basically, you stay away from us and we'll stay away from you. Pretty simple. Just wanted to come by and give you a heads up ( ... )

I smiled and listened to him as if I really gave a shit, he knew I didn't. Didn't understand why he was here exactly, except to tell me to stay away from his little pals now that they'd all escaped to the Hyperion. Ahhh yes the Hyperion where thousand of small cameras were already placed about, taps on all the phone lines, yes me and the Hyperion were quite intimate one could say.

"Why Angel, what makes you think that a little threat like that is going to keep me away from your precious hotel? Then again what makes you think that you all aren't already inflicting enough damage upon one another locking yourselves up? Cordelia alone... the guilt of being responsible for the murder of Faith? Must be eating her up." I smirked at the thought of how he had just moments ago stepped closer to me. What was he expecting to charm me or woo me? Please ( ... )

"Why is it you always get us tossed out of places just when things are starting to get fun?" Lit a smoke and gave Angel a slap on the back, snatching his keys while he gave me one of his patented glares. "Oh don't even, I've had enough of the 'Shut up Spike' to last me more than one eternity."

Struck off toward the elevator, hearing his heavy footsteps behind me. "Nothing worse then a stalker. Is there a lawyer in the house?" Silently snickered as the rank and file sheep of Wolfram and Hart did all they could to ignore us.
