My mother died last night in her sleep after taking the wrong combination of pills (we don't know what or how much yet). I am in complete shock and am having a hard time keeping my head on right now. I'm staying with my dad and brothers for at least tonight and being in this house is really overwhelming. The last time I saw her was on my birthday. ( Read more... )

My dearest Virginia, I am in total shock. Your mother was very kind and gentle and I will never forget meeting her. I always felt your family was very beautiful and delicate. I hope you can make it through, I know this is very awful. I love you all very much, please send my condolences to your father and brothers. If there is anything you need at all or just to talk PLEASE don't hesitate to call Scott and I.

Virginia, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine what you must be experiencing. If there is anything that you need at all, let me know. I'm in Atlanta almost permanently now.

Gin, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the way she admired the car I drove in high school, going out to it each time I came over. She was always so beautiful, generous, and welcoming.

You're beautifully strong, Gin. My family and I are here for you, should you need anything--- like a quite place to stay or some time with our sweet dogs. My thoughts, love, and prayers are with you and yours.

i miss you so much emily. thank you so much for your support and kind words. if i ever run into your mom i would love to come over for a cup of tea. your parents' house is like a fairy house in the woods and i would love to spend some time with you there whenever you're in town again.
