completely and utterly out of nowhere

After almost a year, I still love what Steven Meisel did for Italian Vogue December 2007.

The clash of patterns, the immense details and visual overload.

Of course I am now whacking myself on the head for not getting the issue.

Oh, wow! I'm not into fashion photography much, but that series is quite stunning! (I sense a slight nod to Klimt? :D)

I am reading up on fashion photography myself. Only noticed the Meisel's work because this particular issue of Vogue had the fashion world falling at the man's feet. (It appears Meisel is a kingmaker of sorts in the modelling industry. XD;;;)

And yes! Now that you mention it, the series does does have similarities to Klimt's work. :D
