Oh, this is great! I pretty much want to poke at any work of fiction that includes a Loki.

I have Eight Days of Luke ready on my shelf for after I'm done with the ones I'm reading right now. I'm glad that it has an interesting portrayal of Loki, so now I'm looking forward to it more.

I can't seem to get into non-modern-Persona SMT games because of the gameplay, sadly :( I'm very bad at negotiations and strategy.

Interesting thoughts and comparisons! Glad to see some more life in this community =) I totally agree with you that Kinoshita did her homework on Loki for the manga series which is amazing.

I've never read the book- I'll have to check it out. I've never played the game either- does it have good game play?

Yes. <3 SMT: Devil Survivor is this interesting hybrid of a few things. You can get mythical beings from all over the world in your party, and the gameplay rewards intelligent decisions. It's a close relative of the press-turn icon system, which Nocturne has, and Nocturne was the first RPG I ever played and I still haven't found a game with better gameplay. If you like turn-based stuff that's about strategy instead of grinding, stats, having the latest gear etc., it's awesome.
