POTC drabble

I really enjoyed researching New Year’s customs, traditions and superstitions for Annus Novus, my offering for the Twelve Days of Christmas celebration at blackpearlsails. Too good!!

Along time ago, in an age far away, I remember a great drabble (or perhaps something longer) about Hector having to clean all of Jack's hair out of the cabin. It just seems the circle is complete!! These two just couldn't stand eacy other, could they? I think both of them enjoyed that their mere existence drove the other one crazy!!

And now the comment is nigh as long as the post itself! Go away, mouthy writer!!

I think it was back when I was first lurking about. I couldn't begin to recall who it was, but I thought it was just too perfect!! What better way to annoy the hell out of someone?

'Tis a relief to know I'm not imagining it! Not as old and suffering from accelerated decrepitude as I thought.

Perhaps because Hector had originally been Jack's friend, and it took Jack a while to fully accept the loss.

But it seems he's made the transition.

You went there a-gain! You went there a-gain!

Woohoo! And well done! ~ reaching far back and dispersing with the final remnants of Hector, may he rest in... oh wait ~ he didn't rest, did he?

Anyway ~ YaY! *smooch*

I adore the thought of Jack doing that with all due ceremony. He does have a nice sense of occasion. Wonderful drabble, and a great follow up to your ficlet!

Oh, my.
Way to give me a shiver.
I particularly like how this contrasts so sharply with the festivity of the other New Year's rites.
Very nice.
