Bear with a sore head would be apt for him. Bill's drinking had as it usually seemed to do, left him with a hangover. First thing he noticed of course was the lack of the warm body beside him. He would at least grudingly forgive her not being beside him then by the second thing he would notice which was the smell of breakfast.

The housebreaker however wasn't very forgiving about the cold he was greeted with as he shifted a little and groped to find his clothes and boots.

His clothes were laid out beside him. His boots were on the floor as well in front of him. She knew he'd be cross without them there, so she had brought them up to rest on the chair beside the bed. It allowed her to hide in the small kitchen area. Ok, so a unit against a wall wasn't exactly a kitchen, but it made do.

She warmed his mug with hot water, so the coffee wouldn't get cold. Coming up to the bed, she offered it to him. "Mornin' sir."

He muttered something. Something that wasn't so much a cheery good morning reply to her in return as he took the coffee and drank. It barely served to warm him up enough so he wanted to move to get up. The mug was pushed back at Nancy.

He made short of getting up and dressed with his boots back on and sitting back by the fire which wasn't quite warm or big enough for his liking. He moved briefly to pick up a poker and then menace the fire until it was more to his liking. He kept the poker in his hand while he muttered about the cold and kept an eye on what Nancy was doing.

She said nothing, did nothing that would upset him. Taking the mug back, she went and made him another cup. She then presented him the breakfast. It was meager, very small. Perhaps he could buy some food today if they could afford it. She'd never ask though.

"Here ya' go. It's not much, I know. I'll try to do better today," she murmured, shrinking back a bit.
