Appearances can be deceiving...chapter 6
The lunch bell rang already long time ago, but none of his friends had arrived yet. Jaejoong
tapped his fingers against the table impatiently and looked around the cafeteria, ignoring all
the attention he was getting from the students by sitting there all alone.
Some of the girls had tried to approach him, but he had shooed them away. Actually he didn't
need to do much, just glare at them coldly and that was enough to make them leave.
Then, finally he saw Changmin entering the cafeteria with one of his classmates: Kibum...was it?
Jaejoong didn’t know much about him, only that Changmin always blushed furiously when someone mentioned the name Kim Kibum.
The blonde guessed that Changmin’s phone was probably turned off and that he hadn’t seen Jaejoongs message, but to his surprise when the younger one saw him, he whispered something to Kibum, who immediately nodded and they started walking towards Jaejoong.
„Hey Jae, what did you want?“ He asked when he finally had reached Jaejoong’s table. The blonde gestured to the bench opposite of himself before asking whether the younger one knew where were Yoochun and Junsu.
„Hmm, nope. Shall I go search for them?“ He asked hopefully and started standing up, but he
was pulled back by Jaejoong who was now smiling sweetly at him.
„Umm...NO. Let them be, they’ll show up sooner or later“ Then he switched his position and
sat more closer to the smarter of the two.
„Now, my dear Minnie. Would you tell me just how the hell do you know Yunho?“
Changmin gulped and looked uneasily at the hand gripping his own, then he looked behind
him sending a pleading look at his almost-boyfriend Kibum, who made the hwaiting sign with
his hand and mouthed ’you can do it’
Changmin sighed and turned back to Jae, who was still smiling at him.
„Yes? I’m listening“
Changmin closed his eyes and for a second, thinking.
Think, think, think...was it safe to tell Jaejoong? But Yunho obviously didn’t want that...but why?
He slowly opened his eyes and took a deep breath.
„ I was in the same class with him in the middle school first year...and we were pretty good
friends then.“
He said it all in one breath and waited for Jaejoongs reaction. Actually he was
interested in Yunho as well. He and Changmin had been pretty good friends back then, but one day Yunho just disappeared. He didn’t answer Changmin’s calls anymore, didn’t show up in school and when he asked the teachers, they just ignored him. And now he finds out, that Yunho’s been going to the same school with him all the time.
„What?? You were? But..why did you lie then? Wait...shit I don’t understand anything
anymore.“
Jae joong said as he sat back to his seat and stared at Changmin with a confused expression.
Changmin rolled his eyes, took out his lunch box and started eating it, completely ignoring his friend.
After some time, Jaejoong’s stare turned into glare.
„Umm, I’d like an explanation here“
„...“
He got no reaction from the younger one, he was too absorved in eating to notice, hear or see anything.
„Min please“ Jae gave it a last try and it worked.
„What’s there to understand? Yes, we were good friends and we went to the same class, but then one day he just disappeared without a word. What else do you want to know?“
„Yes I got that much, but...I know you’re friendly and all, but still, it’s not your style to befriend with nerds. And you didn’t answer why did you lie to us?“
Changmin sighed once again and started unwrapping his cupcake.
„I knew him before I met you and he wasn’t just a good friend, he was my best friend, actually only friend. We were alike, that’s why it kind of hurt when he just disappeared. And well...what do you expect me to do, when you see you’re ex-bestfriend in a nerd get-up, chatting with you’re hyung.“
He said before he took a huge bite from his cake. He started munching it, still not looking at Jaejoong, who looked like he wanted to say something, but shut up and frowned instead.
„Wait...so you wanna say that he wasn’t a nerd before?“
„Yes, that’s exaclty what I wanna say and don’t ask me anything anymore, because I don’t know“
Changmin muttered, and proceed munching his cupcake.
For a while, both of them sat in silence. Jae was trying to process the information he got about Yunho and Changmin was devouring his second cupcake, wich literally came out of nowhere.
I really don’t understand anything anymore... Well obviously Yunho isn’t who he seems to be..and it seems that for some reason he doesn’t want anyone to find out anything about him...
...I need more information... but from who???
Jaejoong thought as he was staring in nowhere in practical, but still. Somehow his eyes managed to find that one person who was his object of interest right now...Yunho.
But he wasn’t alone, he was with a suspiciously girly looking boy, who was way too close to Yunho to Jaejoong’s liking.
The red haired guy and Yunho were walking side by side, their hands brushing occasionally together, Yunho was laughing and the other one was making silly faces.
„Who the fuck is that?“ Jaejoong asked as he glared at the bastard giggling like a friggin girl, he could hear it even from where he was sitting.
„That? That’s Heechul.“ Changmin spat, the crumbles from the cake falling from his mouth as he peered behind his shoulder.
„Heechul?“ Jae asked, his attention momentally at Changmin, before he turned back to glare at the so- called Heechul, who was now believe it or not giving his nerd an one armed hug.
„Yup, Heechul. He’s the new transfer student, in third year I believe, Kibum had to show him around in the school yesterday. Plus the girls in my class couldn’t shut up about him, I think I know everything about the infamous Kim Heechul by now.“
Changmin spoke after taking the last piece of the cake in his mouth, which was a bit too big for him, he coughed and took a sip of his drink before contently sitting back on his seat.
„I don’t care who he is, I only know that he’s way too close to Yunho.“
Jaejoong spat angrily as he glared at the couple. Changmin wanted to say something again, but he changed his mind and was now following the blonde’s every move with his proffesional eyes.
„Hyung...are you in love?“ he asked, clearly amused. Jaejoong froze for a second before moving his neck incredibly fast towards Changmin and giving his harshest death glare ever.
„WHAT?“ He shouted, bringing many students attention to them. Jaejoong looked around and lowered his voice, closing the distance between himself and Changmin.
„What are you talking about? Me? With him? No way.“ He said quickly, then he glanced at the object of his nterest again. „I mean look at him, I could never...“ he didn’t get to finish as Changmin cut in:
„Do you even know what love is?“ Changmin asked, resting his chin on his hands.
„Of course I know what love is, I had many girfriends before.“ The blonde stuttered, he couldn’t believe that he was being lectured about love, by his dongsaeng right now.
„You sure? I’ve never seen you so worked up over someone. Sure you had girlfriends and one-night stands, but you always looked like you want to throw up, when they clung to you..No actually wait..there was one girls towards who you actually smiled..what was her name again..?“ Changmin mused, „But anyway, you never looked happy with them.Maybe Yunho is the one...“
Jaejoong took in a deep breath and massaged his temples before answeriring.
„I’m not gay, if that’s what you want to say.“
„But you look like a jealous boyfriend right now.“ Changmin chuckled, proceeding on reading his hyung’s feelings and thoughts.
„No, I AM NOT...“
„But it sure wasn’t love from the first sight, I mean you two sat beside each other for 2 months already.“ Changmin cut in again, brushing his invisible moustache.
„Changmin, I’m warning you..“
„But I did see how you stared at him this morning“ Min continued, completely ignoring Jaejoong.
Okay, that was enough for Jaejoong, he stood up and didn’t know if he wanted to give Changmin a punch or kick Heechul in the face with his leg.
He chose the last one as he strided quickly towards Yunho and Heechul, who were still standing in the row to get their lunch.
„Just look at yourself Jae...You’re falling for him...you were always fast to fall, but slow to stand up again...I hope Yun is gonna take care of you..he should, if he hasn’t changed, hmm need to do a little background check. „
Changmin muttered to himself slyly. Then he motioned Kibum to follow him as he stood up and started walking towards his class.
As Jaejoong was nearing Yunho and Heechul, he could hear some bits of their conversation.
„Oh yeah, I know! That bitch, shit she’s so annoying, I hate it how she comes back every night.“ Heechul was muttering not so silently, but still Jaejoong had to concentrate to distinguish their conversation from other students’ chatter, he really didn’t care about what the pretty guy was ranting about, but he stopped when he heard Yunho’s next words.
„I know, but it’s our job.. and I need the money though I don’t get why you do it, you don’t need money...anyway, I have to be nice to her especially, since she’ll expose me if I won’t please her.“ Yunho muttered with a bitter tone.
„I KNOW, and she dares to call herself a teacher, gawd I wanna strangle her, she should die. Would make everyone happy.“ Heechul said, maybe a bit too loudly, but these words saved his life...or at least his face... because Jaejoong froze and completely forgot about his original plan to beat Heechul up. Now his thoughts were racing, his brain processing the new information.
Were they talking about ShinBitch? The slutty teacher? What job? Why did Yun need money? Why was his voice so husky and sexy?
Jaejoong froze...again... then he looked on the floor in front of himself and shaked his head lightly.
No...that’s not the issue here.
He thought and concentrated on the conversation again, he raised his head again only to see Heechul pecking HIS NERD. Okay he was furious, beyond angry, he was ready to kill this bastard right away.
Yes, if he did manage to fall in love..he was beyond possessive and jealous boyfriend...no he wasn’t in love yet...but he was gonna kill the guy.
He took a few quick strides towards the two guys and took Yunho harshly by the collar. He wanted to drag him away, but he was surprised when the guy didn’t move even an inch.
Wha?? I’m not THAT weak.
He silently cursed in his head, but stopped and glared at Yunho, who was looking at him with a blank face again. That made Jaejoong even angrier, so he could show his smiles to this pretty, girly bastard , but to him he showed some expressionless face??
Jaejoong couldn’t take it anymore, he took the dork by the collar again and crushed his lips against Yunho’s, he kept his eyes open and what he saw made him smirk into the kiss. Finally Yunho was showing some reaction to him, even if it was surprise, at least it was something.
He shoved his tounge into Yunho’s mouth and tasted the sweet cavern of the nerd
The taste was addicting...Jaejoong had never kissed a guy before.. it felt so different..or was it because it was Yunho?
Suddenly he was harshly pulled away,he glared into the red haired man’s eyes, who looked at him with his eyebrows raised. Then he felt the silence surrounding him, he glanced around himself and finally took in the fact that the whole cafeteria was looking at them.
He looked at the stunned Yunho and the still too surprised Heechul, before turning around and walking out of the cafeteria, harshly bumping into people in his way.
God, what did I do?

Hope you liked, a bit of Yun's past was revealed, but he stays mysterious...
