But, who else really reaalllly is not liking Micheal Celluci? And whose read how the Blood Books end? Did you hate that ending also ( Read more... )

I'm not really feeling Mike either, He's sort of a....i don't know how to describe it. But he's one of the main characters so it looks like we gotta deal lol. I'm really likeing the chemistry between Henry and Vicki...but I've heard...that in the books they never really actually get together or anything...so hopefully the t.v. series isn't EXACTLY like the books...i mean...similarities...yes of course it should have that but it should be spiced and changed up a bit. If most movies are not like the books then this should be the same....I'm hoping that this show goes my way because when i get into a show i really get into it. Mike's a pest, lol thats the word i was looking for earlier.

Kinda' like they did with the X-triology vs. the comics? God, I hope your right......because if they can give Rogue a name and have her with Bobby (YUCK!)...than, Vicki can be a vamp and be with Henry!! ♥

A friends of mine has an inexplicable fixation on Dylan Neal that I simply cannot understand. Although I've never watched Dawson's Creek, he had a cameo on Profiler I've seen. To me he tends to be a rather uneven actor, it's like he'll perform competently in one seen and badly in another.

Although I haven't yet read the books, I can say that Celluci comes off unlikeable for me even in the scenes he's in which are neutral or he's supposed to be likeable. I feel like Dylan Neal is miscast as opposed to the character is merely unlikeable.

As for the books, having read the comment that she is vamped and goes with Mike, I'd say a bit disgusted, but not willing to give up on the show. I have no objection to Vicki getting some teeth, but Mike Celluci is at least on the show not the stuff of fantasies.

I sometimes wonder if the compulsion of series to make the heroine go off with the mortal male ie male as opposed to the vampire has anything to do with being a patriarchical society and male insecurities. But then I've wondered that ( ... )

Um, the funny thing is the writer, Tanya Huff, is a lesbian and actually is living with her female partner....kinda' strange hunh!? You'd think she'd go for the "same on same" rather than "different on different". ♥

You are reading my mind! I never liked Mike much in the books, and he's even more awful in the show. I just want to smack him for his stupid chauvanistic BS. And he is totally Pacey's gay cop brother to me (and I thought he was sooooo cute with his boyfriend in the final episode of Dawson's Creek. Aww! still a bit of a jerk tho)

And I didn't mind the end of the book as far as Henry and Vicky, but I did hate that she ended up with Mike. I don't know why Tanya would do that =( Mike's a jerk, and in the last book it's kind of shown that he's not so happy with the situation, he doesn't like how Vicky changed, so I have hope that someday Tanya will write a final final book where Vicky and Henry make it work and all is right with the world.

Jack (I know everytime I see Mr. Kerr, my gayday-I am a lesbian BTW-with him, also). Um, I believe in the Volume III of the omnibus editions that in the introduction Tanya Huff said she was done writing the Vicki Nelson series...Boo!!
