Mom and Ron got to Midland really late last night. They went straight to the hospital to see Gran. Her IV is going to be removed soon...at least that is what the idea was as of last night. Mom said that she tried to get Gran to squeeze her hand and got no response. She's awake...sort of. She cannot move much more than her eyes. She's sleeping

Thank you, Bill. My in-town girlfriends are coming to pick me up in a little bit to get me out of the house and have a little bit of fun before I head into the abyss that is West Texas.

I miss her so much already, Bill. I have that lost little girl feeling right now. What I wouldn't give to be 4 again and curled up on her lap to listen to her stories.

I lost my grandmothers very very young. One when I was 12, one when I was 16. I can relate with how much they mean to me. There aren't days now I don't cry for them.

Grief is hard. Life never gets easier.... take comfort in your daughter and in the knowledge of love.
