kinda creepy... exploitable?

Ok at work the other day we stumbled across this web siteit does a small thing that may seem innocuous but i was unaware was possible. It activates and hijacks the built in isite feed then dumps it into a window on the site. Am I way behind and this is a well known thing? Strikes me that if you can activate it you can record it... and that

The image of your iSight you are seeing stays local. It never gets out of your computer. The file on that page is just a QuickTime movie that, when loads, looks if you have your iSight turned on and shows it to you. Can't record it or control your computer or send the video out of to the Internet.
