It separates the unitive and procreative meanings of sexual intercourse and reduces it to a recreation. Not only are the natural (God designed) consequences taken away from the act, but in a sense, you're taking away God Himself from an act that is supposed to imitate Him (through a Love that gives life, just like God was described in Genesis!)
