Growing up in Konoha

They were growing up. This was all too obvious, especially when Sasuke came back at a height almost equal to Kakashi-sensei, and Sakura was filling out in ways that both boys ending up appreciated.
Growing up in Konoha meant several things - that you were an adult, that you could be on your own, that you were prepared to kill, you could prepare to die, and that from the moment you let go of your childhood until the moment you died, you lived life to the fullest.
And no one cared what that meant.
Nobody batted an eye when Ino got pregnant, first with a Nara child, then with an Akimichi, and by the time she turned twenty years old she was still living with her team, and was pregnant with her third child by Christmas.
Hinata was married at age sixteen to Neji, to produce an heir to her family as soon as possible. She had; twins were born and it was the only time she would ever see Neji cry.
Sakura moved out of her house and into Naruto's apartment, along with Sasuke, who technically lived in the Uchiha complex but much rather preferred the loudness of Naruto's small home.
They spent the nights wrapped around each other, kissing and touching, and spent their days on missions, killing and hurting, and occasionally fighting with one another.
In the end, Sakura married Sasuke in name only (because no one would let her become an Uzumaki) and gave birth to a little girl with blond hair. They continued to be together, grow up together, watched their children grow up, and died on a mission gone wrong together.
But that was normal in Konoha.
I promise I'll try to post drabbles that aren't Naruto-centric. Someday.
