Congrats on the find!

I enjoyed that book too. I think it's autobiographical fiction, really.

Thanks. I don't even know why I like it so much. I did keep thinking it's autobiographical.

The whole Hugo thing is the less discreet thing in the world, that's -totally- what he intended I think, and yes, you can't really imagine anyone else but a young Stephen, exactly as he was, as the protagonist.

Gosh! I thought I was imagining things thanks to my depraved mind. I was feeling the whole time. 'My God! he's talking about Hugh'. When I came to the letter pert.... Well, you know.

If you can get your paws on a copy of Moab Is My Washpot, you'll find that Stephen has put entire chunks of his life into Liar....Many similarities...

I suppose I'll have to wait another eternity before I come across another hidden gem like that. Wish I could find 'Moab is My Washpot'. I'm hanging all my hopes on the big International book fair in September.

Oh well!

It's such a delicious read. I've read it about a hundred thousand times...Check out Amazon, that's where I got my copy from.

Ohh... now I'm even more impatient to read it. It must be really good.

I guess Amazon is an option. But you see, when dollars are translated to local currency, it makes up rather a huge amount, and I dare not use my mom's credit card for that. (not having one of my own. We don't use them much here.) It sucks to be a student. I always wanted to do a job as soon as possible. This is why. Lol.
