We can make small talk if you want,
take the ripest of words in the vineyard
of our mouth, and like grapes,
sweet and deliciously juicy,
roll them to add flavour to the dialogue.

Or just sit here in the sprawling lobby,
order a drink, light a cigarette,

A poem is never finished only abandoned.

I re-write my poems some twenty times over and the above has dozen to go.

Love that line... yes this is good... and yes I know you are going to re-write it to death. Do email me some of the tweaks. I'd love to see what you are doing with it, though I don't think it needs much in the way of alteration!
