I need to get a new tire for our Chevy Astro, a van that we don't care about too much, but is useful to keep running. Short of getting all four tires replaced on the Matrix once, I've never done tire-shopping, and I certainly don't know how to install one.

Should I just go to Sears?

If you're getting one, get two. Put the new tires on whatever end drives the car (front end if it's a front wheel drive, etc), and if the other end is staying the same, rotate the tires. It will make things last longer.

I get mine at a Tires Plus or a Firestone dealer, depending on who's running a good deal. Sears is fine too.

There is a Firestone we generally go to on Little Patuxent.
