sofia just wrote the most amazing essay. holy fuck.The Airport, I wish I could live there. Full of amazingly sophisticated people everywhere, focused on their lap-tops, listening to their iPods, reading Time magazine or the newspaper, at the airports Starbucks or Italian pizzeria or some corny but amazing restaurant. its disgusting how true that is.
the airport is such a grey area to be in-its never black or white, its always iffy.

cant we all be the fifteen year old girl writing in her diary? the thing is, we all are and most of us dont even know it.

though these words may mean the world to you.... they mean virtually less than that to all who dont understand... an essay should have a point... if its a teenagers insecurities... so be it...also.... hype like the most amazing esay... not so great when your only 15 years old and havent really read published essays by esteemed writers or anyone for that matter... also, observational journal entries should be kept personal... or you'll have to deal with people like me who have different opinions.... by the way... ever notice those people asking for money? not so glamorous.

Well beside what Daniel said I think it's a wonderful essay. I often think about things like this myself sometimes. And PS everyone is different so everyone is going to have a different opinion. Very insightful. And Daniel do you ever remember thinking things you once thought were naive as well? It's called growing up. Sorry for your horrible weekend, but I had to say it.

hey man,,, just pitching in..,. nobody has to listen to me. I only say what I say because some good could come out of it. If you see me attacking, thats too bad. I dont thnk its wise to award people for observing...Im actualy scared that people might forget what the definition of art really is one day

i love sofia and have much respect for her thoughts and ideas, like how i have much love and respect for who you are.
she talked to me about this creative writing assignment...its not supposed to be a structured essay, its just a chance to freely write down the thoughts in your head, which i think is wonderful and should be supported and not negatively judged. even if you dont think her words are magnificent, i don't think there's anything positive or helpful in criticizing a friend's decision to share her thoughts with her other friends...this is a livejournal after all, and although it is in a very public domain, many people find joy in sharing their innermost thoughts with others around them. i commend that, and i know you'll probably disagree with everything i said, i want sofia to know i love her and support her livejournal publication of her "essay".

wow, sophia's a really good writer!!!to take a simple thing like an airport and like point out every little detail of it and the people who are there. thats awesome!
