oh and you're so right, we should definitely do a tea trade. packagey goodness heading your way tomorrow!! ♥
A friend and I were discussing photography the other day, why as an art form it has so much merit. I believe it's because anybody can grab a camera and take pictures. You don't need any formal training beyond being able to work the camera properly. You can, of course, take years of schooling in it and refine your technique, but it's not necessary. There are some people who have never learned much about photography nor any kind of visual art and yet can pick up a camera and take astonishing photographs the very first time

i love the way you tell stories, so fluid. i have things to say, but not the time to write it right now. silly deadlines getting in the way of talking with my friends. =P

i hope you are having a wonderful day.
much love.

haha. YES! i think i picked it up from spike actually. i don't use bugger off as much though, because um, other than brits and buffy fans who would understand me, hehe. i'm usually all like, "Bugger!" instead of "crap!" or "shit!"
word to the slipper socks. did you have those baby outfits that were like, all one piece, including the feetsies? and the feetsies would have lil grippy treads on them? those were the bomb.
oh no, nevermind the last question, maybe only poor comic geekz apply. ::hangs head in the geekery shame!::

ok i really just need to tell you that i watched the entire sixth season of btvs last week and there are the first three discs of season seven coming this week and oh yes. it was so good. oh. i am so excited about season seven and spike having a soul and i don't remember anything from that season prolly cuz i only watched the first three episodes of it and oh. yay!
yes! i had the feetsies! yay! and i did have the grippy treads cuz i remember they would trip me up sometimes. but um. i am not a comic geek, so i am teh confused geek instead! plz explain plz.
books i'm reading: Dante's Purgatorio, Cork Boat by John Pollack. I also recently finished Hairstyles of the Damned by Joe Meno, which was interesting, although not real heavy reading.
music: Tori Amos' new cd, The Beekeeper, is amazing. I've had it on repeat for about a week.
movie: the original House on Haunted Hill, with Vincent Price. Also, I recently saw Tim Burton's first short, and it's hysterical. It's about a little boy who wants to be Vincent Price. It's hard to find, but if you run across it it's well worth your time.
food: i've recently become obsessed with avacados. and the new Lemonade Gatorade. I love Gatorade
favorite book: assata, assata shakur. i'm re-reading it again. favorite music: seven hours later, it's still zero 7, although tonight it may become hooverphonic. i haven't heard the new tori yet. favorite movie: crouching tiger, hidden dragon favorite food: brownies favorite item of clothing: tank top favorite color: midnight blue
hahah. it's okay. I have such lovely memories of DC when I was there last year for the March for Women's Lives (and when jenn g graciously let all of us camp out on her couches!). I'm jealous.
And it seems odd that I would love DC, seeing as how i detest the american government, but it's really all about the free museums ;)
favorite song: mad about you, hooverphonic favorite book: assata, assata shakur favorite quote: Who taught you to write in blood on my back? Who taught you to use your hands as branding irons? You have scored your name into my shoulders, referenced me with your mark. The pads of your fingers have become printing blocks, you tap a message on to my skin, tap meaning into my body. Your Morse code interferes with my heart beat. I had a steady heart before I met you, I relied upon it, it had seen active service and grown strong. Now you alter its pace with your own rhythm, you play upon me, drumming me taut. -- written on the body, JW.
i don't know if it's my absolute favorite, but it just grabs me, so many different parts of that novel give me a moment's pause. i started re-reading that and assata today. they are just so good. ok, back to the favorites
