i spoke to someone last night who brought back old memories.. the bittersweet moments which usually tend to drift toward the back of your mind after awhile, but then suddenly resurface when you're least expecting it. and now these memories have found their way back to the forefront of my mind, poisoning my thoughts with their wistful sorrow,

These things can come back to haunt you, and sometimes a voice isn't even required. A song could trigger it, a kind of food, or even the scent of a certain flower during the waning months of summer.
