Today was the first day back and it was full of complaints and dozing children. It makes me overwhelmingly anxious for summer.
Spring break sum-up:
Not one night of it was spent in my bed.
The first couple of nights were spent partying at my house and passing out on someone/floor.
Mon: I went and visited Brandie(
prettyvacantone ) & Jason(
iota). We searched(unsuccessfully) for prom dresses, ate pizza, & had plenty of drunken silliness.
Tues: Hang out at my house. Matt & I woke up in the attic wondering where everyone was & where the dozens of popsicle wrappers came from.
Wed: Amie & I both managed to find prom dresses. I must have been craving hot sexiness because that night I drove up to Brandie's. We watched Young Frankenstein & Jason and I stayed up late having the first meaningful conversation I've had in a while.
Thurs: I went to Coheed & Rainer Maria and had a really good time. Afterwards I went to Jared's; the kids refused to let me leave and worked hard to cheer me up(sometime that night I got bummed out for no reason).
Fri: Amie & I went to Marsh park and had a good conversation. I wanted to stay in for the night but ended up going on a crazy car hunt when Ryan stole Joe's car. We found the car, and eventually found Ryan with the keys(on my porch, go figure). After that I headed to Jared's with Leah to find some peace & quiet. It ended up loud and silly but relaxing nonetheless. We watched a crazy japanese zombie flick & afterwards we sat around & laughed until we couldn't breath. Nick was on a serious roll. We made a late night trip to Kroger's for food(wheat thins & soy milk yum!). We had a serious discussion about dreams for a long time. I spent a lot of time working on the designs for two books in the back room.
Sat: Leah and I went to Sitwell's, which was quite an adventure. Afterwards, we headed to Jared's for Matt's birthday bash. So much good alcohol; I got to drink woodchuck & was excited that we weren't drinking beast for once. Although I've smoked before, I got seriously high for the first time; it might have to do with the fact that it was the most serious blunt ever. I had a lot of fun with everyone there & the last thing I really remember is reading Globe articles outloud before I fell asleep.
Sunday: Leah, Jared, and I went and saw
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Four lovely girls-Sam, Crystal, Emily, and their friend Jen just happened to be seeing the same thing at the same time, so we all got to hang out which was ten times better. I'm going to be the kazillionth person to say so, but this movie is amazing and if you have not seen it yet go do so. I'll go with you(and I'm one of those people who never sees the same film at the theatre more than once; giving up eight dollars for one two-hour film is hard enough the first time). Possibly the best film I've ever seen. And worth mentioning-amazingly good soundtrack.
Anyways, afterwards the three of us went back to Jared's and had a waterballoon fight I talked them into. Then we just sat around and talked. Leah told me that her teacher ruined her dream of being president & putting all men underground when he told her that she had to be a natural born citizen(she moved here when she was eight). She had it all planned out and it was the funniest thing; she was totally serious. This is why Asians are not allowed to rule the country. When she left Jared and I talked for a few hours; an amazing thing for the two of us.
Sunday: I rode my bike in the rain and sat around in the store reading magazines. When I got home I took a hot shower and spent too much time watching television by the heater. I finally binded Matt's book.
Fill in the blanks with work, sleeping & eating and you have it all.
I think it's silly that the later it happened the more I wrote about it; I hope my memory isn't that bad. It's probably a good thing I don't write very often because there would be too many details that no one cares to read.
I need to find a new job. I was going to lifeguard, but have come to my senses and realized that having clothes to cover my body is too important to me.
Also, the weather today is completely depressing. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
