He's right about one thing.

He's never getting laid in Britain again.

Is that to say you want kids? If so, I just need to check myself in for a mandibular reduction.

I know! I met faerierhona at a wedding this year (she is great to dance with!) but my husband has known R for quite a while.

Hope everything is going well for you Nicky!

Was the double-meaning in your use of the word "troll" intentional?

Actually Mr Malk am too stupid to think of double meaning ; ). The quote from the Bill Bailey song reminded me of this guy and his views. I do think that there are scruffy people in the UK (including myself at times) but at least we are being outclassed by the Americans in that department.

Well, I was thinking that as well as meaning someone ugly and unattractive, it's also someone who deliberately posts/publishes something inflammatory, with the intent of generating a vitriolic response from people who read it. Mostly from Internet discussion forums, but it seems to apply pretty accurately in this case.

I think that the Yanksiders, as in many things, are creatures of opposing extremes in this. For every immacculately groomed, waxed, toned, plasticised, stretched and silicone-stuffed bimboid out there, I expect that there are quite a few burger-troughing munters, and I daresay one or two relatively normal people as well. You can find anything if you look hard enough!

From his earlier article last week, he bases the stats on what US women spend on beauty products in New York and LA compared to London. Hardly realistic statistical analysis. But then again with a name like that why would he?

I would say that he is now a happy troll as he has been so well fed by all the people reacting to his silly articles. The reason I find it silly is that he is talking about perception which he is confusing with truth and reality.

He's right about one thing; his comments have obviously touched a nerve. People are sensitive about that sort of criticism, or they would just roll their eyes and treat the puerile little tosser with the contempt he deserves.

As you say, the response he has provoked probably has him rubbing his sweaty little hands together with glee.
