If it was cropped square to get rid of a lot of the empty space on the left, it would be even more attention-grabbing.

I know. I'm funny though, I love having the empty background space (if you haven't noticed). I take almost all my photos with the main subject off to one side. I should probably not ALWAYS do that ;)

Why shouldn't you always do that? If that is your style/preference, it is what makes your photos uniquely you!

I feel like a lot of my shots look so similar that way. And I do agree with you about the empty space being somewhat of an issue. It's just funny, I'll look through my photos and it's... "subject on the left, subject on the left, subject on the left, ooooo... subject on the RIGHT!" ;)
