My 2-year-old just bit me, through my t-shirt and hard enough to draw a tiny amount of blood and create a small bruise. Now, I get hit with sticks by 300-lb men for fun some days, so it's not like the wound is especially serious or painful; but I am definitely feeling shell-shocked by the experience, much more than I would have expected to feel ( Read more... )

Sometimes biting results from feelings of not being in control... Has something major changed in her life?

children bite. they have to be taught not to. my granddaughter bites, and gets immediately sent to her time out chair with harsh words. my son used to bite. in those benighted days, i bit him back. harder. lots harder. eventually it worked. however, that is now called child abuse so i no longer recommend it.
