I think that there are several things that need to be addressed concerning American politics, and I intend to fix all of them in this post with just enough bat-shit crazy that it might actually work

I'm not one to delve that deeply into politics to come up with my own ideas on how to reform the system, since I keep my views rather basic and vote in favor on who I think will benefit my own situation best.
I agree with your idea though on the potential re-electee taking a paycut in order to further a really good idea though.
With regards to convicted elected officials being executed. Why give them the freedom of death? Thoroughly secure and tie them up and make them the official pivot man/woman in a circle jerk/bukkake for all future furry cons :P
much fun as that may ... wait no, they are old and ugly. death because who the fuck is gonna risk DEATH for a bribe while already in the public eye?? and cause they would cost the tax payers money to keep them alive in prison.
Those are some pretty radical and extreme methods of fixing the system. i'm not sure that is a permanent fix. Everything tends towards entropy and people always find a way to corrupt a system.
That said i sort of like your idea to force electoral change with the parties system. it has merits. Though i worry it would shrink the diversity of choices.
Personally beleive that the other major parties the Green, Libertarian, Constitutional, Prohibition etc are given short shrift and little respect which is a shame. They represent valid view points after all. However to get them in I'd say we either need overarching national reform or reform in every state and county to make it easier to get these parties on the ballot. I also think the new media should give them more respect.
I think that the candidates of if all those parties were given equal air time then their views would be considered on an equal playing field with the two main parties' candidates.
Actually, that system has worked very well in other countries on which I am basing that system (though the names escape me right now: drunk). I did make a note to have a single main election with 2 candidates after 2 leaders were chosen from the group so that we don't have issues like Israel did, so that is at least an edit on that system by learning from others' failures.
