[There's an odd crunch when the recording starts, video flickering as it focuses on the eyes of some kind of sea serpent. Which watch the PCD intently as it floats by, revealing... another serpentine head, and two long necks that disappear into the back of a dark-haired young man. Who's clearly under the influence of the event ( Read more... )

[Oh, hell.]

You're not possessed.

Who's there!?

[He hasn't really noticed the PCD yet. But he eventually moves from a defensive posture (or some attempt at one), to staring dubiously at his changed form.]

...I don't know how you're talking, but what else would you call it?

An alteration. A modification. An adaptation. A transformation.

Most anything will do, but it is not possessing you. For the moment, it is you. It should only be temporary.

[Siiigh.]

My name is Hitsugaya. Follow my voice. You'll find how I'm communicating with you.

I'm not a- a- whatever this is!

[Does eventually realize that the voice isn't coming from his body, but finding the PCD requires grabbing it from a dragon's head; it switches back to video in the process, showing a mouthful of sharp teeth, then a hand, then Ashton turning to yell at the dragon.]

Don't eat the voice, it probably won't like it either! [Finally remembering the PCD, turning it over in his hands.] ...Oh- hello? Hitsugaya?

Possession? Is that what you call that?

[Still talking to his flippered body, unaware of the PCD.]

Of course! What else is it?

It's just one of the games the Animus like to play. You'll be back to normal before long.

That's what everyone says. How can you be so sure?

I don't believe that this is anything like "possession".

[But he's checking out those... creatures on your back, there.]

[The voices keep changing! D: ]

But there's... additions! And subtractions!

[This is not something that can just be shrugged off!]

It... seems like these things are only temporary. If what I have learned is true, you should be back to normal in a day or so.

... Those creatures on your back. What are they, exactly?

...Really? Are you sure? That's almost too good to be true...

-These guys? [Always a slightly-awkward moment.] Gyoro and Ururun. I had an incident with a dragon- then this sort of happened.

This is something some spirits did, but it's not posession, as far as I can tell.

That's what I've heard, but I really don't understand! What kind of spirits could do this?

They're called the "Animus," and they cause all the strange things that happen in this place, though I'm pretty sure they didn't bring us here.

Honestly, they're a bit confusing to talk to.

But what is here? And why would some Ani-something do this to me??

I'm possessed!

More possessed!

...At least I thought so, but then everyone keeps talking about 'Animus', and is that what this thing is called?

You are not, child, do not worry.

The world you have been pulled in knows these .. frequent transformations. This is one of them. The place has been underwater for a few days, and will be for a few more days. Most of us have been given a new form so as not to drown.

Everything should go back to normal at the end of the week.

I guess that's nice of them... except not really, I don't want to be whatever this is!

Is it really normal if this keeps happening and we can't get away?
