Am I right in thinking that it's Severus' birthday tomorrow? Of course I am! I hadn't forgotten, just mislaid the memory. Anyway, I was wondering if one of you with no teaching responsibilities could do a little shopping for me

It is indeed. I have arranged to meet Severus to go over the current potions curriculum, tomorrow, to ensure that we are still on the right track. He will be at the Hufflepuff safehouse after eight. You know how he hates a fuss. I do not think he would appreciate a birthday gathering. Therefore, I must ask you all to refrain from visiting the Hufflepuff safehouse without a very good reason, after eight tomorrow evening. I will be most put out if I am forced to share the MacGillivray's 30 year old malt whisky that I have been saving for a special occasion.

Heh...I will be sure to give Severus the gift he'd appreciate the most...my absence. Do tell him I wish him well...unless you think it would sour his mood too much.

I've got to go over there and check out the chimney that Hagrid and I built. Apparently some of the pointing looks a bit iffy, but you can't really see in daylight.
Dunno if Hagrid is going to be there too.
So it's a bit of a coincidence I have to be there at such an awkward time. But you know me, Minerva, you can always rely on me to do the right thing eh?

Bugger! You know me Pomona. Always happy to oblige.
Socks is it? Or maybe a colourful jumper like Mum used to knit for us? You could get one with a C S on the chest eh?
As to the liqueur, Peach'd be lovely. Although if you've used the same fermenting charm you put on the last batch, sneezing is the last thing I'd be doing. I knew that explodey stuff of Snape's reminded me of something

I was thinking of something a little more useful actually.
There's a small pottery in Thornbury, Hertfordshire - Alchemy Ceramics. It's a Muggle place, but it sells very fine work. I have the catalogue and the money right here, so if you wouldn't mind popping in for the details I'd be very grateful.
Additionally, I need you to purchase a ladies' nightgown. Something in silk, midnight blue I think. I would guess a size ten. And don't ask impertinent questions, Charles, as it must be quite obvious that it's not for me. Just say you'll do it and there's an extra case of peach in it for you.

I hope that I have made this sufficiently clear.

Don't worry about shopping for me, dear, it's your day!
I'm certain that I can convince Charles Weasley that my pear liqueur is not to be sneezed at!
Isn't that right, Charles?
