History: Info here and here.

Personality: Ivy is insane, in one of the definitions of the word. Her drive to have nature reclaim its proper place in the world has slipped into the overly fanatic realm. Though, to be fair, she was driven to the state she's in by a former 'love' - a term she says with loathing and derision. Her former mentor manipulated her into doing things she never would have dreamed of, and he almost killed her in the attempt. Did kill her, in fact. That day, Pamela Lillian Isley died, and Poison Ivy rose from the remains.

She's everything in her resurrection that she wasn't in her original life; assured, confident, dominant, sexual, aggressive. She makes proactive moves to get what she wants, and what she wants is for her babies to grow. Nature has replaced her need for human affection, her first 'death' causing her to become sterile. Having the possibility of her own children being ripped from her, it solidified her resentment for her murderer, a sentiment that has carried over to the rest of humanity as a whole. They burn and plunder her 'children', their pain something she can feel, their screams echoing in her head. During these moments, she's blinded by their pain and isn't above killing those that initiated it in a blind rage.

She's not completely heartless, though she tries to come across as such, particularly to those that she thinks would try to use it against her. She cared for the children that took refuge in her garden during the earthquake that devastated Gotham, and gave herself up and left to keep from letting them come to harm when the city threatened to nuke her Eden with pesticides. There are a fond few that slip past the prickly exterior and find a warm place in her good graces, but they are a rare few.

Whether due to her being saturated with pheromones, or as part of her personality change, Ivy has become highly sexual, using it as a manipulation tool. She's not above dosing her would-be lovers with pheromones, if only to get what she wants when she wants it. She uses her looks to the same effect, dangling the possibility of affection or attention in front of some, while using her toxins to put others under her spell.

Ivy is a complex individual; highly intelligent, but able to be blinded by rage and her desires. Willing to sacrifice others, or kill on a whim, but unwilling to sacrifice what, or who, she cares for. She truly just wants what's best for the world, which she happens to think is for people to stop destroying the plant life it needs for basic survival. She can be reasonable, even kind, when given the proper motivation. But when she feels she's been slighted, it's easy for her to tip over into a vengeful rage. The few that she holds close, they are hers, and no one is allowed to slight or harm them. Her mothering towards her plants extends to them, and she will go on a bloody rampage to either save them, help them, or avenge them.

Imported Character History: N/A

Powers/Abilities: Is completely immune to all toxins, bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Can exude her own toxins from her pores/bodily fluids, including ones that resemble truth serums, love potions, cause illness and/or death. Can also exude the counter-toxins for anything lethal. Can exude pheromones from not only her pores/bodily fluids, but from her breath - able to have it transmitted via air, but it will always be stronger by touch - her pheromones can affect both men and women. Is three times as strong as a normal woman her size/weight, as well as being highly durable and more resistant to damage. Is unusually agile, able to climb and scale surfaces, much like her namesake. Has a connection to all plant life and is able to control it to extreme lengths. Can grow a seed into an animated plant in a matter of seconds. Can use plants to hear/converse with people, even miles away. Is able to make a plant avatar of herself and act through it. Is able to make impossible hybrids, ie; man-eating plants. Generally has living vines incorporated on her person to act as extra limbs for holding or attacking. Knows a limited form of martial arts. Has a genius level intellect - is known to be the foremost botanical expert. Is also a toxicologist.

Weaknesses - Being confined with no natural light will weaken her. She can survive on food and water, but since her system is partially based on a plant's, she needs sun to function properly. She can also store it and use it in energy/strength/plant-growth bursts. Plants being cut/torn/burned around her will drive her mad with pain. She'll lash out at those responsible to defend the plants.

First Person Sample:
Shh. Don't try to talk, darling. It won't do you any good. You're paralyzed. Completely. A lovely little concoction of my own making. Why? Well, I would have thought that was obvious. You're a naughty man, Mr. Carroway. Your company pollutes more acres of the South Amazon than four of the others combined. That's quite a feat. Don't bother taking any pride in it, though. Your ability to form a cohesive thought should be fading soon.

What will I do with you? Why, feed you to my babies, of course.

[She strolls over to the opposite side of the room, opening the balcony doors to show an almost caricaturish version of a Venus Flytrap, only much, much larger, and more pod-like than flat-mawed.]

Fernando here is getting peckish, aren't you, baby? I think your corpulent frame will be an adequate meal for him. Cheer up, Mr. Carroway. At least you'll be of more use in death than you ever were in life.

[Smiles as the man's eyes flicker and fade as he dies.]

Now, eat up, baby. Mommy has to go shopping.

Third Person Sample:
She was in her workroom, bent over her table, humming. Beakers and tubes flowed and bubbled in front of her as she began the process for yet another hybrid. Blending Aconitum napellus, more commonly known as Monkshood, with any of the more common flower types would make a more vibrant purple flower, which just happened to have the added bonus of being toxic. That and Atropa belladonna, Belladonna, or Nightshade, was also one of her favorites to blend with the more innocuous blossoms. They were so lovely on their own, but were well known to be deadly. She was merely giving them more of a chance to do what they were designed to do; be deadly creations of nature that terminated those foolish enough to tamper with them.

Adjusting the temperature of her burner, she continued humming as she stepped back. Lovely. Maybe she'd send a bouquet to Harley. The girl was already immune to her toxins, so she wouldn't be affected adversely by them, but she knew she'd appreciate them for their color, if nothing else. Her lips twitched slightly and her humming stopped. One of the things that drove her to frustration over Harley was her refusal to see Joker for the abusive, narcissistic psychopath that he was. If she could, she'd take him out of the equation, possibly letting Harley grow into her own person, a better one for the removal of his interference. But, she was 'in love' with him, a statement that had her lip twitching again. Love was a false emotion. It was a string to your psyche that a manipulator could use to twist you to their desire. Ivy had learned that the hard way, or rather, Pamela had. Now? She was the one who pulled the strings, which is why it was so easy for her to see that fact between Harley and Joker when Harley obviously couldn't.

Flicking a strand of flaming hair out of her face, she sighed, shaking her head minutely to clear it. Now was not the time for ruminating. Now was the time for creation. She could scheme on how to get her friend out of the situation she'd mired herself in later. For now, her babies needed attention.
