I checked on Pie about an hour ago to see if she was warm enough, and in her sleep, she said, "I listen!"
I burst into tears and had to leave her room.
I want. To DIE.  Worst. Mom. Ever.

You are a brilliant Mother!!! You have two very young children that are very close in age and a lot of stress too. Everything I have read indicates that you are funny resourceful, thrifty, inventive and an extremely loving Mum. And you are doing it all without a lot of the supports I do. Let me quote Dory from finding Nemo (my son is obsessed with this film) "When life gets you down you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimmin, just keep swimmin, just keep swimmin swimmin swimmin..."

Annie hasn't seen Nemo yet, but I have, and I love that stupid movie (though I can see the future of Annie wanting to watch 10,000 times and me not loving it anymore :) But I agree, and thanks for the kind words - some days you just get down on yourself and wonder if you're doing the right things...

"I listen!" is her go-to/back-pedal phrase whenever she's in trouble and/or facing a time-out or something, so I must be a bad mom if it's in her subconscious enough to sleep-talk about it. :(
