i hate spam-mail

recently i was emptying my spam-mail folder into the rubbish folder, and i came across an email entitled "Herb, you need NEW PHALLI-GRO POTION!"

and i, being me, thought "oh, it must be a new fungal-fertilizer, wonderful. it's just what i need for my new Phallus specimen!" and promptly clicked on it

The part of me that would like to respond to those questions is the part I really wish would shut up when such vulgar things come up. It's very difficult to have formerly been so promiscuous when you don't believe in such things any more.

it's not as though i can't handle reading things like that, i'd just prefer not to have them randomly sent to my email. i'm sure you understand.
maybe it is good that i am forced to deal with them though; perhaps i need to become more desensitised to these sorts of things? we are practically adults now, after all.

i am sorry about the past life conflicting with your current one, i can't imagine how confusing that must be! especially when you don't necessarily approve of your past life's lifestyle choices and so forth.

Absolutely. It's definitely not where you expect to encounter it, especially unsolicited as it is.

I don't really understand the point of desensitisation, though. What's wrong with a little innocence? I know far more than I'd like to know, and I don't think it makes me more "adult."

Well, it's very obvious which life is which, especially since the old one involved an awful lot of penises. Still, it's annoying to drift off a little bit and discover I've written something I didn't even know I was thinking, because he has intruded. Times like that, I feel don't feel like that was me.

well i just feel slightly, i don't know, abnormal to be nearly eighteen with absolutely no experience with girls (other than as friends). everybody has kissed someone by our age but me! what am i supposed to do when i meet a girl i like who likes me back? i don't have any idea, and i will look like a fool.

maybe i need to stop being so shy about such things, it's part of being human, i guess, i shouldn't be so terrified of anything having to do with... sexual relations. but it honestly rather freaks me out.
