well congratulations to everyone for all the great things that have been going on lately. it seems so odd, as though we were students just yesterday, and now everyone is grown up and doing adult things like finding love and discovering their true self and buying houses and saving the world ( Read more... )

Those are so tasteful and elegant! I hope she does agree to them, and I think she will.

If you'd like, I can try to... what's the term? Fly interference? I can smile and nod for your relatives so they feel like those concerns are being heard, while freeing you and my dear twin to make the choices you'd like. And who knows-- I may just find your relatives interesting!

i can't remember if we decided on the more modern folding cards or this more traditional style, though i think this one would go over much better with the families, and we do like it. thank you for YOUR opinion, which i hope you know is very important to the two of us (it does help that you tend to feel the same way we do, of course, haha).

thank you for the offer, i don't think it is particularly necessary at this point, but i am sure we will need some "interference" during the reception itself. it just always astounds me how so many people feel they should be able to tell us what to do, simple because "that is how it is done," which is rubbish! we are meshing multiple tradition sets here, there is no one right way! thank goodness we aren't planning a real wedding, or people might start hexing one another.

say, i know you proposed a night out to dinner, but do you think you could accompany me shopping earlier in the day and have Lav divert hang out with Pav? i would appreciate your help on... um, something.

We all appreciate beauty, of course! And I think this would set the invitations apart from using those modern ones. Very classic.

Perhaps the reception, then, but will they have any problem with Lav on my arm?

I could certainly do that! Lav and Parvati need some best friend time. We don't have to be together every minute.

i had wondered about that myself, so many of our friends are in relationships that the older, more conservative relatives might consider "scandalous." my family is one of those old pureblood types that can be snobby, even if they aren't evil like SOME families. i think i will have to send them all owls first or something, and explain that even though they are my blood, if they say anything hurtful to any of my friends, i will be very upset. though i should think that their good manners would supercede any impulse they have to make daft remarks about impropriety or some other such nonsense ( ... )

I find it very strange that Ginny and Colin bought an entire house, I mean couldn't they have started small with a flat?
Hows the reading coming along darling? I picked up some more helpful manuals at flourish and blotts by the way.

It was cheaper than some of the better flats available and we can do a lot with it since it's so big and has a lot of property. Anyway, I've always lived in a house, except this one's a Muggle house. Why would I want a flat?

oh it's not strange at all, they had the money to do it, so they found a house that suits their needs. it is probably about time for us to do the same, i suppose, since we are married and all. i do hope they will let us come visit some time.

the reading is coming along nicely, i really appreciate this! thing are going to be great, Pav, just brilliant, i promise.

I'm not sure if I want a falling apart mansion with corpses in it though! I've always wanted one of those really pretty victorian townhouses you get in London.
We could always use magic to expand the garden so Dharma has room.

I'm glad that the reading is coming along well! I cant wait to see the results of your research.

Hi Nev! sorry I haven't been in touch but things have been odd for a bit and I've had to take care of Ginny..sort of.
Anyway the buying the house thing was really spur of the moment, we just got sick of the burrow so we moved here except the entire place is trashed and I can here somebody moving about at night so I think it's infected with gypsies....

no worries. i hope your house is just perfect for you both, though there seem to be quite a lot of queer details about it. i'd be a bit worries about the bumps in the night, actually, in a house where you found a dead bloke.

Well he was a lonley old man so he died of natural causes.
I'm going to hunt the house down for Gypsies in the morning.
