Is there a Roman counterpart to Prometheus? (If you answer, I'd love to have your source.)

There wasn't. Prometheus was a distinctly Greek myth. The only time he appears in Roman sources is in translation.

That's what I thought. I thought what gleef was saying on convert_me was interesting until I could find no evidence to support it. I think that the archetypes found in different mythologies are fascinating, but I really don't know a lot about Roman mythology specifically.
