Inner-City Park (Crown Street)

Its good to be alone...sometimes
just sittin' in the middle off a park bench
as if it was ya throne.
Parents with their children;
laughter fills the playground.
You pretend that they're your servants
on a well earned rest

Inner-city parks; once you enter them
A magic cloaks your body and mind
the atmosphere of humility
and relaxation

i really enjoyed your poem....it reminded me of the days I used to sit in a similar park in Surry Hills on my lunch break....sounded exactly the same...thanks for the memories

Hi there,
thanx for that. I think the name of the park is Shannon Park. God, I should know the name of it, I walk pass it often enough lol, but the sign of the name faces the lane. Its the park next to the pub. lol
