So I'm a bit behind in LJ reading, but now I know you're posting I'll try to check back more often...and I second Amy, Yay you live and sound like you're doing pretty well in a far-off country!

btw, any advice RE: grad school searching? I can't decide if I want to do history in US (probably around NYC or DC) or Museum Studies outside the US....let me know what you think of going to grad school abroad, even though you're in an American program.

:oD

Go for grad study abroad! Cause even if it's bad, at least you won't be constantly wondering about, to be corny, what might have been. Plus, if you can survive learning in another country on a student's budget, especially Europe, then you can survive anything. You'll finally be a woman! Cause that's what makes you a woman (not everyone knows that).
