It was easier to just lay still and breathe and sleep then to even fight any longer. Stolas had even gotten bored when Sam stopped fighting back and just laid there and ignored him. He wondered if they were just waiting for something, or if they just planned to let him die on his own and see how long it would take.
He woke up when the exorcism was played over the PA. His face was turned away from the door and he couldn't even lift his head when he heard the door open and his son's voice. He did, however, hiss as he felt his son's hand on his shoulder. It was a light touch but he just hurt everywhere at this point.
"Michael?" he asked, hoping it wasn't a trick of Stolas' in his mind again. One bloodshot eye cracked open to see the foggy outline of his son.

He'd heard the hiss, though, so he moved his hand, checking Sam over for fatal injuries that needed to be attended to right away. "Yeah, Dad. It's me."

"Need to get out..." he said before his words were cut off as he hissed hard when hands started to move him to the gurney. He wanted to scream but he wouldn't now, not in front of his son.
He was talking about his son getting out. He couldn't let Stolas come back and get his hands on Michael. He'd rather they leave him to die than that.

They moved quickly, not wanting to waste any more time than they had to. Rolling Sam out of the building they loaded him onto one of the trucks and started to race their way out of the area while the medics attended to Sam. Michael just kept close, his hand resting on Sam's calf, partially for Sam and partially for himself, just to make sure he was still there.
