Those grades aren't bad. Think of it this way: C = average; B = good (above average) - As long as you don't get any D's or F's you're doing great. Just because your grades are "average" isn't bad - the meaning of "average" is all the figures added together and divided by the number of figures - in other words, half the people did better and half did worse. At least you're not in the latter group - you can always strive to be in the "above average" group, but as long as your grades are "average," you're doing fine.
Plus, you got a B in english so you are doing better than average in that class. The main point I'm trying to make is that you are doing fine. School isn't easy and it's even harder when you are working too. You should be proud of yourself for sticking with college - I know I'm proud of you and you should be proud of yourself too! As I'm sure you've noticed, college is more demanding than high school and you've shown than you are up to the higher demands. You may just need to study a little more or maybe party a little

thanks chason! I needed to hear that..I couldn't sleep last night because I kept thinking about having to tell my dad. He's going to kill me.
And it is true, I know I can put a lot more into it, which is why I'm discouraged. I kind of did it to myself. But I will definetely try harder this summer and next semester!

The key is to find a balance where you feel like you are doing well in school but where you still have a life outside of school.
Just DON'T QUIT. If you ever need encouragement, feel free to contact me. I'll give you a pep talk that won't include being mad at you for getting "average" grades.
