Things have been non-optimal around here for a while, hence my lack of fannish (or any) content. I am behind on TV because of a combination of generalized work stress and a couple of specific work-related deadlines that left me feeling sort of unequipped to do much of anything mentally taxing, including write anything outside of work or process ( Read more... )

I'm sorry that work continues to be such an energy suck. Please know that I am mentally yelling "the power of Patty compels you!" and smacking them in the face, a la Leslie Jones. It's very satisfying.

I am glad for the good things going on, but I know that the good doesn't outweigh the bad when the bad keeps on tugging on our shirt. Sending love and energy and hopes for everything else to go smoothly this summer. ♥

Oh my god, the mental image of you showing up like an avenging angel to yell at my colleagues is GIVING ME LIFE. I will probably dump details on you at VividCon so we can shriek with outrage together. Here's hoping I will be somewhat more stable and less grumpy by then. Heh.

Sadly, I won't be at VVC this year :( woe! I just couldn't make it happen, financially, with the roof and the car and medical bills and yada yada yada. But I am always available to listen to you vent, since venting is a glorious and worthy pastime ♥

I finally got a video of one of the kittens decapitating a green bean. She's just so PLEASED with herself.

Sending you hugs and sympathy for the continuing fuckwittery of your work situation and the house related woes! I am with you on not having much mental energy for fannish content these days -- basically, I only seem to have the spoons for The Great British Bake Off (I watched the single season available on Netflix and promptly went and ahemed the entire 6 seasons. Oops.) It's very restful.

VVC in three weeks YAY! Can't wait to watch your premiere vid. :)

Yeah, brace yourself for additional posts about job crap. I keep thinking it can't get worse and then... well. I really need to check out The Great British Bake Off. It sounds like exactly the kind of soothing I will need in the months to come. *sigh*

On the plus side: VVC, yay!
