Title: Spring of Our Parting Rating: PG-13 Summary: Persephone/Hades and the prompts "stay" and "symmetry". Author's note: Written for the Porn Battle XI. Thanks to geek_mama_2 for editing!
I always love reading your Hades/Persephone ficlets. There's something entrancing about the appearance(myth) vs. reality of their relationship.
I got chills reading this, the melancholy of their parting and the rightness of their reunion... The feeling that what is right has been restored when they're together.
Despite the powerful emotions, everything is subdued and muted in tone, and the effect is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing again! :)
In the story of her abduction most of her choices are made for her, so I like to imagine a reality, so to speak, where she has a more active role. I'm very glad you enjoy these little snippets. Thank you for reading and commenting!
This is such a gorgeous piece of writing. I was a goner for Greek Mythology from the time saw Fantasia -- the centaurs, the little winged horses, Bacchus (Dionysus) on his donkey all fascinated me. I read the myths in many versions, but it never occurred to me that something this beautiful, combining myth and reality, could be made of them.
Favorite line (though the whole thing is a marvel): "...their fingers twined like weft and warp, her head on his shoulder, breaths in broken symmetry..."
Simply lovely, and so subtly erotic. You are an amazing writer.
Oh, how absolutely gorgeous! I know no one who uses words quite the way you do. This is so sensual and otherworldly at the same time - it's both life and larger than life. And 'Breaths in broken symmetry', so lovely!

I'll read anything you write at this point, but I do love Greek Mythology, so *.* I am happy.
