Love this! So much it's making me want to use an insane amount of exclamation points!!

traces her fingertips along the life line, the heart line, the borders of what she would hold. This is so very perfect and beautiful and such a unique way of phrasing it.

He stiffens so suddenly, realises so perfectly, and she bends to put her lips to the inside of his wrist, stealing a quick, sweet taste of his skin, before he wrenches away.

*happy sigh* Wonderful.

I also liked the bit about him being afraid she'd fall off the railings, and her response. ;)

And this is more or less exactly what I had in mind with the prompt, so. I couldn't be happier (well, unless there was more of it, of course, as there can never be too much River/Mal), really. Thank you!

And this is more or less exactly what I had in mind with the prompt, so. Really? How wonderful! I wasn't quite sure what to write for the prompt at first, so I'm glad this fit with what you wanted to read, and delighted about the double exclamation marks and happy sighs :-)

Really? How wonderful! I wasn't quite sure what to write for the prompt at first... Yes, absolutely! I'm utter crap at giving prompts, so I do apologize for that, but I did very much have in mind River manipulating 'fate' in some way to tell Mal they should be together. It seemed just the slightly off-kilter sort of thing she'd love to bewilder him with.

Those prompts were perfectly fine! And she'd love how very bewildered and completely unable to stop thinking about it (and her) he would be too. *g*

This might earn me a restraining order but... *HUG*

It's so simple, so short, but so full of promise, of what is and could be ♥ delightfully so.

As always a gorgeous piece of writing. I've always liked how you capture Mal--I can see and hear him in this. And your River is so wonderfully confident here.

the borders of what she would hold
Such a lovely metaphor, and so fitting.

And I love Mal's betraying motion: he rubs at the spot like he feels her touch still.

As always, your writing is such a treasure.

That's so kind of you to say, thank you. I'm really glad you enjoyed it and that you like both my confident River and the way I write Mal :-)

I love the line "She's dangerous, but never to you" especially. Very much enjoyed this scene.

Funny how such a simple scene can be so erotic!

Once again I wish that Hollywood would check out fanfiction when they're looking for new writers.
