Everything I hate about second wave feminism is still regrettably alive

This article I came across decrying the term "sex-positive" and all the virtues represented therein made me so ridiculously, incredibly, unbelievably mad.  I thought this kind of unintentionally phallocentric psychobabble garbage went out with Catherine McKinnon, Andrea Dworkin, and that whole set.

Sex-positive is a lame term, in the non-colloquial sense of the word lame. I also think that as a term that is very broad, it has the possibility of being hijacked in various ways (much like the terms liberal or feminist). I.e. You're not sex-positive unless you believe this very specific doctrine.

I cannot stand second-wave feminism and I think this particular article really shows the flaws of the movement. It's reactionary, particularly about sex, anti-scientific to to point where calling it "scholarship" is laughable, and comes from a distinctly white and heterosexual point of view. It also refuses to believe that any gains made in the advancement of women's rights (suffrage, repeal of laws against contraception, etc.) are substantial gains at all. They choose instead to believe that until we dismantle this amorphous structure of the patriarchy, any action for the benefit of women is utterly futile ( ... )

I like the term sex-positive. Granted it can be an over generalization but tell me we're going to a porn store vs. a sex positive porn store and I will have a completely different schema of what sort of place it is. I'll let you guess where I'd rather buy a strap on.
