Chapter 1: Me

May 07, 2001 15:41

There are some fundamental things about me that must be understood in order to grasp even the most basic significance that any given event holds to me. These are the things that make me who I am at the deepest, darkest level. Without these things, I would be someone else entirely. I would be nothing more than a copy of an imitation. If that ( Read more... )

This is Melyssa... Sean, you're such a beautiful person... anonymous May 7 2001, 16:57:07 UTC
Sean, I love your writing style. You always tell it like it is. You're a beautiful, wonderful person, and I can't even begin to express to you how happy I am that we're friends. I really think you should start writing poetry again. You might be surprised if you just sit down one day with a pen, and start writing. I'm sure you'd even be good at writing short stories. One thing to remember: Your poetry is your personal feelings, thoughts, and emotions, thereby making it beautiful, no matter what. If it's truely what you feel, there is nothing more beautiful in the world. Don't let anyone tell you any different. Poetry is ALL about emotion. Please, keep writing. I love you hon. Take ye care, and blessed always be.
After the rain,

I know my poetry is always beautiful, because it is a deep extention of myself. The reason I hate it, and writing sometimes, is because I feel so stifled when I can't put onto paper what I see in my mind. The pain comes out as a disgusting thought, distorted as if it were wet ink rained upon. It must be the rain that you always talk about. You're distorting my thoughts! *peers at you* Say it ain't so?

After the rain.... its something I once heard Robert Smith of the Cure say... I'm not sure what it means to him, but this is what it means to me. When I listen to Robert's words, he makes me feel better when I'm feeling sad or depressed. Even after the rain, he's always there to help me through my day. And even after the rain, I'll always be here to help you, to talk to you, hold your hand, whenever you need me, I'll be there. After the darkest, dreary-est storms in your life, I'll always be here. That's what I mean when I say 'after the rain.' It's not meant to be stifling, it's meant to be a symbol of beauty and the loyalty of a friend. Brandon Lee once said "It can't rain all the time." Very very true. And if it does rain, you bring your umbrella, or you go out and dance in it like a little child. Love you, Sean.

Wow...I was just joshin' you and stuff, and you retort with that work of textual art? Man, was I ever made the fool.

Dancing isn't just for children. I dance every day, usually to Tool or Linkin Park. I love singing those bands. I wish I could do APC better, and I don't have many Manson mp3s. I also love MDFMK, 'cause I know the lyrics fairly well. Ooh, singing singing singing. Wee. Dancing, dancing, dancing.

I didn't mean to attack your saying. It was a joke. I love your saying. It's comforting, and it always has been.

Forbidden truths make up for lies
slap these hands and cover these eyes
Kiss my cheek and make them sweat,
burning eyes both dripping wet.
Lover's bond rips the strings,
leaves them lying, broken things.
Silence of shredded, lonely wings,
Leave them dying, pathetic dreams.
