Name: Santana Lopez
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Fandom: Glee
Timeline: Post-season 2
History:
http://glee.wikia.com/wiki/Santana_Lopez Character Personality: Bitchy, spoiled, and beautiful, Santana is, on the surface, the ultimate cheerleader stereotype, even after she quits the squad. She holds very little respect for other people, instead choosing to look down on them until they give her a reason not to - and even then, it had better be a damn good reason. Santana is better than you, she knows it, and she will make damn sure that you and everybody else knows it, too. She also knows that she's hot, and she uses it to her advantage. To put it simply, Santana gets around. Boys, girls, she doesn't really care, as long as she has a warm body underneath her. One thing you would expect from Santana is stupidity - and that is where you would be wrong. She's definitely not at the top of the heap intellect-wise, and she's more than a little bit prone to irrational decision-making, but Santana isn't stupid. Her advantage is in street-smarts, and manipulation.
The girl is power-hungry. She likes to be in charge and boss people around, so those that take that away from her would be advised to run. If it doesn't come to blows, she'll insult you with all the tact and subtlety of a brick. After her boob job, she was demoted from the position of head cheerleader, resulting in a textbook example of a catfight. What she says goes, to the letter, or there will be hell to pay. If she can't boss people around herself, or usurp someone else's position, she quickly attaches herself to whoever is running the show. As a symptom of her overly controlling attitude, she has a quite nasty jealous streak. As insistent as Santana is that sex is not dating and that she doesn't really care, she is very possessive of those she gets involved with. There are giant confrontations when her on-and-off boyfriend Puck dates girls who are so obviously below Santana, and when her best friend with benefits Brittany decides to date one of the Glee guys, Santana runs right to him and tells him that she only likes him for his voice.
However, her jealous streak isn't entirely due to her need to be in control. Deeper down, and really, a greater share of it, is due Santana's all-consuming need for attention and love. Someone that loves her is supposed to love only her, and how dare you try to snag some of that love away? She got a boob job at 16 because she "wanted people to notice [her] more", despite being the most popular girl at school, drunkenly demands that her boyfriend love her, and does her best to position herself at the top of the heap, because that way, at least if people don't like her, they won't say anything about it. And when they do, Santana melts down. She becomes overly emotional at the drop of the hat, and can burst into tears over a minor inconvenience like a loss of tanning privileges, or someone predicting her future career as a stripper.
She is incredibly defensive, in every possible way. While demanding love and adoration from others, she refuses to give it in return, carefully guarding her emotions with the tenacity of a mother bear. She is afraid to feel for other people, and deathly terrified of feeling for another girl, a problem that she has to face when she realizes her feelings for her best friend-with-benefits Brittany are more than friendly, and more than sexual. Not only is she afraid of the consequences of becoming attached to another person, as opposed to them being attached to her, she is afraid of the toll a lesbian relationship would have on her status in the overwhelmingly homophobic environment in which she lives. Santana has to be forced into admitting her feelings, and even after that, she refuses to step out of the closet.
That isn't to say that she doesn't have a friendly, cheerful side, it's just that few people are allowed to see it, lest her Head Bitch In Charge reputation be compromised. It is there, though, and it's mostly because of Brittany (and much later on, the rest of the glee club). Even after joining the glee club, and proving her loyalty, it takes a long time for her to truly become comfortable with them and consider most of them friends. Hell, even if you are her friend, don't expect any sweet treatment unless there are very special circumstances. Like, your dad being in the hospital, or when you quit dressing like "a fantasy of a perverted Japanese business man with a very dark, specific fetish."
Character Abilities: Santana doesn't hail from any kind of dangerous or supernatural world, nor has she ever been put into those sorts of situations, so none of her abilities are outside the grasp of a normal human. However, she is more athletic than most, having been captain of the number one cheerleading squad in the nation. She also has a fantastic singing voice, and some dancing skill. She is a pretty good manipulator (even if her targets aren't very smart to begin with), and of course, coming up with quick and absurd put-downs at a second's notice.
Character Weaknesses: As much as she boasts that she could kick anyone's ass, she really can't. Compared to nearly everyone else in Death City, she's had a pretty easy life, and is physically weaker than most of them, as a result. Besides that, Santana is essentially a big bundle of character flaws. Hidden insecurity over her appearance and popularity, her vicious streak, and her complete and utter confusion when it comes to actual emotions are all weaknesses that keep her from being happy.
[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]
None of Santana's abilites should be lost, because none of them are exclusive to her world or supernaturally-based. Totally normal stuff!
And the same applies to weaknesses, there's nothing out of the ordinary here, so there's no reason to lose or gain anything, in her case.
[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]
What is your character's Weapon form?: Razor Whip
1. She can create music that manipulates an enemy's mood, dependant on how she resonates with her partner. Poor resonation makes unpleasant noise and angers the target, good resonation makes pleasant music and makes the target docile. It lasts for a few minutes, so acting quickly is key. With perfect resonation, Santana's weapon form can produce bright lights that grab the attention of Kishin and draw them in, making them more likely to attack Santana and her wielder than anyone else in the vicinity.
[ SOUL INFORMATION ]
Soul Description: Aggressive, defensive, desperate, afraid, manipulative, standoffish
Soul Appearance: Santana's soul is red, and wears a tight ponytail. It's usually smirking, if it knows you sneaky Soul Perception people are watching, but otherwise, it's much more relaxed, or looking around anxiously.
[ SAMPLES ]
First Person: This is stupid. I said I wanted to go to Vegas, not Death City, where everyone thinks they're a character out of the X-Men and the sun's got more creeper points than Hannibal Lecter.
Oh, and the free phone? Not gonna make me any less pissed off about being abducted. If you people want my help, you're gonna have to bury me in swag, or it's not gonna fly. I wants me some bling, and I wants it to be legit, none of that cheap silver-plated crap. I wanna kill half the cast of Twilight just by taking it out of its box.
And? I want my music back. I left my iPod at home, and I need my jams on demand.
So point me to the nearest Breadstix or take me home.
Third Person: A third person sample of your character set during the last minutes they have in their world, and their first glimpse of the kishin chamber. We prefer something at least two or three paragraphs long. This sample is a MUST. You may not recycle samples from other games unless they adhere to this requirement.
