i've never liked the boxes though, cos you don't know what's inside each chocolate. sometimes the chocolate will surprise you with marzipan and i have a massive thing about marzipan - i absolutely DESPISE the stuff (it possibly abused me as a child). praline is gross, too.... i don't know why i can appreciate good coffee and not chocolate?
my boyfriends sister lives in sheffield, selon elle, its becoming quite an up and coming place to live. They have trams (!!) plus your close to Leeds & Manchester
I lived in Sheffield for a year and well.. it's ok... a bit scruffy and filled with nightclubs with sticky floors and toxically cheap drinks! Oh and from what I can remember, every single night out involved the DJ playing 'Heaven' by DJ Sammy at some point. So if that floats your boat?! And the Topshop is tiny. And you have to go out on a tram-mission to Meadowhall for H&M/Primark joys. Obviously all these things are vital [!]
If you are going to move north.. come to Leeds! It is a bit sunnier and fun-er than Sheffield.
I have to say, I can easily demolish a box of those seashell belgiun chocolates .. Oh & I am 23 this year. I actually break out a cold sweat just thinking about having to tell people my age once that birthday has passed. SO OLD, and yet so not a grown up at all ! x
last night after writing this, i turned off the computer and suddenly thought, 'hang on? am i actually 23? or am i 22?'. i had to ask my mum how old i was. for a few seconds there i was convinced i was going mad... and THAT'S how you know you're getting old!
i'm going to try and visit sheffield in a couple of weeks, or maybe this week. what i really want is to go back to london but it's just too expensive. :(
I dont know how I came across your journal but may I add you? You're pictures are lovely, and this year I too will be 23, with no husband, children or nintendo wii, I do have a shit job though...
Sheffield's not too bad - i lived there for five months while i was studying at the college there. There are some decent pubs though! And you're just on the edge of lovely countryside too.
