[When Bree awakes to her new home and situation, she doesn't panic. At first. The first thing she does is move through the house, silently looking at all the photos of her married to another man, with kids that are definitely not hers. Surely, this is all some sort of twisted dream, it had only been a few days since she left her own son on the side ( Read more... )

Who's a stalker-psycopath?

[Totally just ducking out of the kitchen. Don't mind the one-eyed, viking not!husband who could be old enough to be your dad, Bree.]

You! Not one step closer!

[Guess what. The kitchen has knives. And Bree is holding one.]

[Very nice, sharp pointy knives! Thorkell simply holds his hands up in a 'no harm' gesture.]

Ya new, missy?

What kind of question is that? [She keeps holding her knife in that "Still might stab you" gesture. Or, you know, she's just not putting it down.] Take me home right this instant! I am not your wife!

[What is this garble. Bree is used to perfect enunciation, thank you.]

He's not my husband. He's some sort of lunatic.

That's a detailed conclusion you have made, and I must say, it's interesting as well.

But it's all wrong.. Well, at least mostly.

Well, then, instead of telling me how wrong I am, maybe you could enlighten me.

I'm sure someone else is already rushing to tell you all the details, if they have not already, but I might as well.

You've arrived to a town called Mayfield. Yes, you could say you've been kidnapped but no one inside your new 'family' is to blame. There are different theories of where the blame should be pointed at, but it's easier to just curse the whole town.

And you wont be able to get out, of course, but you're free to move around the town as you like.

It might be easier to blame this whole town, but it'd be much more efficient if I just blamed the source, which I apparently can't do.

"I don't think it's a stalker. It happened to me too. It's more like a creepy game of playing house, but with like... a whole town?"

Why on earth would they pick something like the 1950's? Is this some sort of religious cult, or something worse?

pants_yourmove December 6 2010, 03:38:06 UTC
"Maybe? I am not sure. I just know I woke up here one day and there are a lot of rules. Also reality is broken."

What on earth are you talking about? You can't...just break reality.

[A rather young voice, sounding around 12 or maybe 13 could be heard]

You're new aren't you? There's no stalker the town just does this, puts people in households together and tries to pretend that they live here. That's actually kinda mild compared to the other stuff it does.

That's what I've been told. It all sounds like a terrible movie, if you ask me.

...What other stuff?

[small laugh] It does, doesn't it.

Oh well uh, they're called events. On Thanksgiving they locked everyone inside with Turkeys that came alive and attacked you, poisoned you or bled human blood. On Halloween they gave out candy that turned people into sparkly vampires or zombies or other stuff. I never did figure out why they sparkled. Oh and on Fourth of July it turned into Soviet Russia for five days. Kind of worried about what Mayfeild may be planning for Christmas.
