would you say "fangoriously devoured"?

some people at work have been pushing me to apply for an available position as an Audi contact... its closer to my house and i'd be likely to get a promotion and raise. my boss is awesome though, and i don't want to screw him over, since he's already planned out the whole year of things to do. Ahhh, i hate tough decisions.

I dunno less of a drive and possible easier promotions sure does sound like good reasons to apply. I'm sure your boss would hate to lose you but you gotta decide what you want to do for YOU!!

Agreed, for sure.

Lucky for me, I didn't like my last boss so I didn't feel bad about putting him out when I left :P Haha.. d'oh.

So...this is what you were going to tell me, eh? Well, as other people have said, do what's best for you. I'd definitely miss working with you though.

honestly? maybe eventually. haizman is cool, but i don't want to leave, nor do i think i'm truly ready for it. however, if agent smith says i can get a raise or promotion, i'll tell joe and maybe i can get the same where i am. i know that's how business works, but it still just feels dirty...

*giggles* dirty.... sorry.

Part of me wants to say that you are clearly conflicted and want to do what's good for you without leaving something you're not unhappy with in the lurch; which is good, I think. That may come across when you talk to people in your current position about it and they'll get the "I don't want to screw ya" vibe -- which is not dirty, though I've kind of made it sound that way.

Another part of me, the part that has had bad jobs and has been laid off and is currently unemployed (unrelated!) and bitter, wants to say -- always do what's right for you, 'cause if some day you're not what's right for your company they won't have the same conflicted thing going on.

In summation, ladies & gentlemen:

:\

That was so not helpful. D'oh!

I think it's a very good sign that Nick feels conflicted about his situation, it is a good example of the caring type of person he is. He's not exactly the type to toot his horn, so I will do it for him (and shame on those of you with dirty minds SHAME). Anyway, Nick, do what you feel is right. And if that's going to Audi, heck maybe I'll go to data...because you're definitely right about Joe. Besides, I'm sure wherever you go, you'll help to improve the quality of work.
