not to be some big dork, but lennon didnt leave the beatles. actually, ringo quit at one time, harrison quit at one time, paul announced the beatles were breaking up. and paul just did that on his own. so actually lennon was the only one who stayed. so that means someone like ed will die, while thom will continue to live on, releasing ever-shitty music and making more and more money off gen-xers who are remembering the good old days by shelling out $87.00 (plus the ticketmaster charge) to see him play at the schott, and you're way off to the side, but its still cool cause it reminds you of old times, and then he continues to to suck, now writing songs for mazda commercials and playing the super bowl. whatever.

yeah i'm hoping that how much you suck individually after your band is done is directly proportional to how commerically successful your band was. so, for instance, having a post-Pavement career is much better than having a post-Beatles career.

if they only have shitty music left in them, i'd rather it be put out under something other than the Radiohead name. unlike the "hey we're gonna keep making music for decades even though none of it's been good for thirty years" Rolling Stones.
