it was surprisingly helpful. It helps that Nancy, my sewing machine, makes really loud screeching noises the faster I run her :)

Yes, Laverne does that as well. That's one of the nice things about sewing machines.

Also, I am glad to find that I am not the only one who has named my sewing machine.
