Looks different, but I'm just happy that the original cast is back :D

Words cannot describe how badly this entire thing needs to be in my eyes right now.

Um... What exactly do you mean, Jen? Do you want the special to be bad or something? Surely you want it to be good, right?

Personally, I'm skeptical, but I remain patient and hopeful. No release date has been announced for this side of the pond yet, and judging by usual gaps between other CN shows to air, it could be several months. I will have to be patient and not watch it online in the intern...

Rephrase: This thing needs to be in my eyes right now. Very badly.

I have been pissing with excitement ever since they announced who was working on this special. Kevin Dart is one of my favorite artists and Dave Smith wrote my favorite PpG episode of all time. Kevin Dart's work looks stunning in CG (see: Randy Cunningham opening title). I saw Mrs. Cavadini, Ms. Daily, and Mrs. Strong at a convention two months ago and they said that the script was incredibly funny and well-written. I know it's just positive marketing on their part, but given the names they've pulled in to do this special I personally am primed to love this thing and can't wait to see it. Hence: I need this thing. Very badly. To be in my eyes. Right now.

Understood. I have never met them, but I have stupidly high hopes too. The broadcast time has not been announced yet, but I see it as being a 46-minute deal. The blurb they're using has promise, so if it ends up as boring as that christmas special... God help us. I am a Yes Leaning AWESOME right now.

And, if nothing else, that poster gets the blood pumping. BECAUSE. GIRLS IN MOJO'S HELMET AGAINST TOWNSVILLE SKYLINE. It has the same compositional weight as the show, and I see myself loving this thing visually. I am only mildly familiar with Kevin Dart's work, given I'm on the other side of the pond, but it is hugely impressive, and while, in my eyes, nothing will replace the UPA/Hanna-Barbera look of the series, nor the Gorillaz-influenced look of the movie, I do think it is beautiful. I NEED a UK release date soon, as I want to experience this properly when it arrives.
It would seem CN is the place these days for good tv-CG, with this and Dreamworks' Dragons, no?
