Dresden Files RPG is out

Attention Harry Dresden fans who are also gamers: The DRESDEN FILES RPG came out this week. It's a two-volume set that is in full color and is printed on glossy paper. OK, I'll keep that in mind if I run. :)

And I chose my words poorly: I should have said because of the high cost of the game, folks with casual interest in the game should be sure that it's worth the cost if they want to buy a copy.

I actually spent most of Saturday (26 June) sitting down with a couple friends trying out the creation system. We decided to try and work up College Station, since we were all familiar with it. We didn't get around to actual character creation, but we did have a lot of fun coming up with weird historical coincidences and geographic weirdnesses that could work into the Dresdenverse remarkably easily.

I have to admit, I thought that sharing the creation of the setting was a little odd; I mean, after, that's always been a GM responsibility. But I am interested in trying out this new approach, if my players are willing.

Heh, back when I live in CS and LARPed there, I used to joke that there were so many vampires, werewolves, etc., that maybe three people there were actual, bona fide mortals.
