A) you're right.

B) Thankfully, we didn't get to find out if the American voter is really cowed by implied threats of civil war.

C) The North won, fuck you, states' rightist jackoffs. (this part was not directed to your comments particularly; I just think states' rightists are assholes)

A. Thank you :)

B. How do you mean?
As I see it, there were implied threats of civil war. The candidates who made them mostly lost, so that bit actually left me feeling pretty good about the American voter.
Pouring a million dollars into a local race works-- the CoC can buy House races-- for now-- and that is bad news for small-d democracy. However, trying to win a statewide race by threatening violence apparently does not work (although I am disgusted with KY-- I mean, I'm obviously no expert on fight etiquette, but since when is it okay to kick a guy your own size when he's down, let alone that situation?)...and the failure of threats of "second amendment remedies" is good news for small-d democracy.
Especially if you've been reading Zizek and I have (incidentally, do NOT read Zizek and watch Maddow at the same time-- it is very upsetting).

C. I just say "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, states' rightist jackoffs. Hey, Perry, have fun being part of Mexico."
